Join us for coffee hour immediately following the 10:00 am Mass, in Synod Hall (across from the cathedral offices in the hallway on the way to the restrooms.) Along with the weekly Holy Eucharist, Coffee Hour is a place of comfort where we can take the time to increase love for each other as a church community, and find the nourishment – for body and soul – to carry that love out in to the world. It is one of the ways we refill the reservoir that often becomes depleted during the week. It is also where we welcome new people and get to know them beyond just a handshake.
Adé L. Collins, daughter of Eugenia Collins is scheduled to graduate from Havertown High School on June 4th. She will commence her studies at Kutztown University in the fall, pursuing a degree in Communications Design. Kindly join us in honoring her achievement with a celebration following the 10:00 am service in Synod Hall today, where lunch will be served.
This is the last Sunday to contribute to the purse for Deacon Chris Cox, as we would like to total the donations and send them to Chris and Hilary. Thank you for your generosity! Please give your donation to either J. Gil Williams (Senior Warden) or Margaret Nartey (Junior Warden), or place it in the collection plate, clearly marked “Deacon’s purse”.
This week we will bag food for the Food Pantry: join us on Thursday, June 11th at 4:45 pm.
Did you know we have a Grief Support Group at Trinity? – It meets on Saturday, June 13th from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm in the Guild Room. All are welcome!
Please join us on Saturday, June 20th at 2:00 pm as four people in our Diocese are ordained as Deacons, including our own Kimme Carlos and Angela DiJoseph! We are in need of ushers, acolytes and choir members to celebrate this occasion. Please contact Patrice in the office if you can participate.
On Sunday, February 21st (Father’s Day) we will have our last 8:30 am Mass before it is off for summer break.
Our Urban Promise summer camp kick-off picnic – July 2nd – Sponsored by the Cathedral, last year we had over 100 campers and their families participate in this event. It was a great way for the Cathedral family to connect with our neighbors! YOU can help make this event happen by making a donation as we do not have grant money as we did last year to organize this event.
NEEDED:
- 150- 8 or 9 oz. Cups (preferably bio-degradable)
- 3 Large Seedless Watermelons
- 6 Large Onions
- 4 Bags of Ice
- Greeters, food servers, set-up & clean-up crews.
(Set-up start at 11a.m. Join the fun! Take a shift!)
There’s something for everyone to do, even if it’s not a physical task. If you’d like to be a part of this fun event on July 2nd, contact Lucy Adams or leave a message in the Cathedral office.
To help make everyone feel welcome at the Cathedral, we ask that everyone wear their nametags for worship and events at the Cathedral. Look for your nametag near the parking lot entrance. If there is not one with your name on it yet, please use a temporary nametag and sign up on the sheet provided; one will be made for you the following week.
The next Food Pantry distribution date is – Saturday, June 13th (2nd & 4th Saturdays this month) from 9-11:00 am. Each Thursday, we distribute hot dinners “to go” from 4:15–5:30pm at the Overbrook Avenue entrance as a satellite location for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
