Today is Volunteer Appreciation Day at our hospitality hour! Sunday, October 13th will be Clergy Appreciation Day; if you can bring a dish to share, please speak with Larry Spears.

 

NOW is the time to support our Golf Outing! This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we’d love to see full participation from our parishioners for our 20th Anniversary event! Here’s how you can support the event:

  • Donate a bottle (or two!) of wine to our Cork Pull – bottles valued $20 each, please
  • Dinner reception, food and fellowship – $40
  • Pickleball player (beginners & advanced) – $60
  • Golf Cart Sponsor – $75
  • Hole Sign Sponsor – $100

Golf Outing donation forms are on the table outside of Synod Hall. Please speak with Willie Coleman about participating, and have donations in by the end of September.

 

Trinity Altar Guild Shop Fall Update

Starting in November the shop will be open the 1st & 3rd Sundays after both services. During Advent – open every Sunday. Join us Sunday, October 20th – Shop will be open!  Check out new items and bargain table!  Free Gift for just stopping in!

It’s back! – The Cathedral African Festival is scheduled for Saturday, October 26th at 7:00 pm. Tickets are just $25 for adults, $10 for children; please see Gaw Jones or a member of the African Festival Committee to purchase. 

 

The CAST committee has been hard at work putting together an exciting season for our church family! – We begin our new season with our first concert, entitled “HaShalom” featuring pianist Sandrine Erdely-Sayo on Saturday October 5, 2024 at 5:00PM (previously announced as 3pm). Join us for a concert of works from Sandrine’s latest CD Majestic Liszt, just released in June 2024 to overwhelmingly high reviews, along with works celebrating the Jewish High Holidays. Attendance is by “free will offering”; see Bobbie Powell for more information.

 

We are pleased to announce we have reached our goal of becoming a sustaining member of Episcopal Community Services (ECS) 2024. We have sent our $3,000 contribution on to ECS.

 

From August-April, Althia Muse will be offering bi-weekly confirmation classes for anyone seeking confirmation by our bishop on Holy Saturday (April 19, 2025.)  Ideally, we will meet alternating Thursdays and some Sundays using both in-person and virtual platforms.  Participants will also learn about and support various ministries at the Cathedral. Anyone interested should contact Althia at (609) 802-2303.

 

The next Food Pantry distribution date is – Saturday, October 12th (2nd & 4th Saturdays this month) from 9-11:00 am. Each Thursday, we distribute hot dinners “to go” from 4:15–5:30pm at the Overbrook Avenue entrance as a satellite location for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
