Unshakeable Faith in Troubled Times:
Clergy Conferences Near and Far
These photos represent two conferences that took place in Spring of 2024. The top photo is from the North American Dean’s Conference in Ottawa. Andrea and I did not attend, as we have attended one before, and I wanted to be judicious in the use of continuing education funds available for participation in such events. The North American Dean’s Conference celebrates the wonderful gifts of our various Cathedrals throughout the United States and Canada, the challenges and joys of these wonderful spaces and their remarkable leadership.
The second photo is of the Episcopal Church African Descent Ministries’ Triennial Black Clergy Conference that is held every three years, which I attended this year in Baltimore. This year’s Conference was particularly special, as the last one took place during the pandemic and was held virtually. This conference brings together very gifted clergy celebrating amazing ministries, and takes place in various parts of the country. This year’s theme was, “Unshakeable Faith in Troubled Times”.
To God be the Glory!
The Very Rev. Rene John
Dean
