It’s That Time of Year Again!
The Golf Committee is gearing up for the annual George E. Councell Memorial Golf Outing. 2024 is particularly significant as we will mark the Outing’s 20th anniversary. Set to take place on Monday, October 14th, we are returning to the Mercer Oaks Golf Course in West Windsor for this year’s activities.
Over the last 19 years we have raised nearly $550,000 to support the vital ministries of Trinity Cathedral. This year, we are setting the fundraising bar higher, with the goal of generating at least $75,000 in revenue.
Last year, we added a Pickleball Clinic to the Outing. We are evaluating how we can increase participation in that activity, there are limitations due to space at the Mercer County Park facilities, and perhaps add a second, additional element designed to attract even more attendees. We will officially launch the registration process for the Outing on May 26th, Trinity Sunday. You’ll receive materials in the mail, gain access to our updated web page, start seeing regular social media posts and in September, begin to receive “The Weekly Tee” – the Outing’s own newsletter. We will of course, continue to provide updates in Trinity Times, in the weekly bulletin and from time to time, at Sunday services.
