NOW’s the time to get your tickets! – In order to finish the planning of our Fashion Show FUNdraiser, we need to have an updated head count of who will be joining us. Gift cards are welcome, and can be used as the centerpiece of a basket. Thanks to those who have already contributed these baskets: Amazing Chef basket, “Catch the Spirit” (thanks to the Altar Guild Shop), African treasures (thanks to our African Fest. Committee), bath ‘n body (thanks to our Choir), gardening goodies (thanks to the Landscaping Committee), wine Basket of Cheer (thanks to our Vestry), dog care, kids’ “quiet time” play, hiking/walking gear, Margarita basket, and family summer fun activities.
Trinity Cathedral Grounds Guided Tour! – Please join Irene Sanz, Georgia Koenig and members of the Landscaping Committee for a Guided Tour of the Cathedral’s beautiful grounds. Besides enjoying the natural beauty of the grounds, we will discuss important Creation Care challenges such as water management, chemical creep and trash, and invasive plant species, which all lead to an imbalance of the natural cycle of interdependence of plants and animal life. Come and see what we can do to help! Two tour times are offered: Wednesday May 29 at 11 am, and Sunday June 2 immediately following the 10 am service.
Greeters provide the first welcoming smile to members and visitors coming to Trinity Cathedral on Sunday morning. In fulfilling our mission as a home for all who enter, our greeter team affirms people’s decision to join us, identifies those who may need support, and ensures our worship service proceeds with dignity, safety and joy. What is expected of a greeter?
- Arrive 20 minutes before the start of service.
- Welcome everyone as they enter.
- Provide information and directions to those who need them.
- Inform the ushers about those who may need special support.
- Watch for, and report, any concerning behavior to the ushers.
Please consider joining our greeter team! If you are interested in becoming a greeter, please speak with our Junior Warden, Ms. Margaret Nartey or sign up on the table right outside Synod Hall.
There is an updated Hospitality sign-up chart on the table just outside Synod Hall – please let us know on the sheet what you would like to bring on Sundays, which Sunday of each month you would like to bring it, and/or if you can help set up or clean up. If you have questions about how you can help, please speak with Larry Spears.
Have you checked out our “A Taste of Joy – Recipes of Trinity Cathedral” cookbook? – Proceeds from the sale of the books are going to provide fresh produce to our Food Pantry. Get yours today at the Cathedral Altar Guild Shop for just $10 or contact Lucy Adams at trinitycathedralags@gmail.com. Also, if you are interested in selling the books, let Lucy know. Thank you for your support!
We are re-starting our Lay Eucharistic Ministry to Hamilton Grove Care & Rehabilitation Center – We will lead worship and administer communion every first and third Sunday of each month to the facility’s geriatric, infirm, and convalescing patients. Service leaflets are provided and we make every effort to send folks in pairs so they have assistance. Flu shots and TB vaccines are mandatory for anyone participating (must provide proof). COVID shots are welcomed but not mandatory. Please speak to Larry Spears or Dean John if you are interested in serving this community.
The next Food Pantry distribution date is – Saturday, June 8th (2nd & 4th Saturdays this month) from 9-11:00 am.
Each Thursday, we distribute hot dinners “to go” from 4:15–5:30pm at the Overbrook Avenue entrance as a satellite location for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
