Join us for coffee hour immediately following the 10:00 am Mass, in Synod Hall (across from the cathedral offices in the hallway on the way to the restrooms.) Along with the weekly Holy Eucharist, Coffee Hour is a place of comfort where we can take the time to increase love for each other as a church community, and find the nourishment – for body and soul – to carry that love out in to the world. It is one of the ways we refill the reservoir that often becomes depleted during the week. It is also where we welcome new people and get to know them beyond just a handshake.

During the summer, our hospitality hour will transition to lighter, more informal selections of coffee, cookies and cold drinks. This helps simplify set-up and clean-up during the hot summer months, in order to give our hospitality volunteers an annual break. If you would like to continue bringing a dish of any kind to share during the summer, feel free to do so! Alternatively, you may bring cookies or something similar.

The Altar Guild Shop is open TODAY – the last opening before our volunteers take a well-deserved summer break! (If you need something during the Shop’s time off, you can contact Lucy Adams or Patrice in the office.)

TODAY we will have our last 8:30 am Mass before it is off for summer break.

On Monday, June 22nd, the Cathedral office will transition to summer hours: Monday – Thursday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm and Friday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Our Urban Promise summer camp kick-off picnic – July 2ndSponsored by the Cathedral, last year we had over 100 campers and their families participate in this event. It was a great way for the Cathedral family to connect with our neighbors! YOU can help make this event happen by making a donation as we do not have grant money as we did last year to organize this event.

NEEDED:

  • 150- 8 or 9 oz. Cups (preferably bio-degradable)
  • 3 Large Seedless Watermelons
  • 6 Large Onions
  • 4 Bags of Ice
  • Greeters, food servers, set-up & clean-up crews.

(Set-up start at 11a.m. Join the fun! Take a shift!)

There’s something for everyone to do, even if it’s not a physical task. If you’d like to be a part of this fun event on July 2nd, contact Lucy Adams or leave a message in the Cathedral office.

We will be issuing a new Parish Directory in the early Fall – Sometime over the summer, please fill out the “Member Profile Form” found on our literature tables to update your information, and drop it in the collection plate. You can also bring or mail it to Patrice in the office or scan and E-mail it to patriceattrinity@aol.com. Keeping our contact information up-to-date is vital to our parish communications – thank you for your assistance!

To help make everyone feel welcome at the Cathedral, we ask that everyone wear their nametags for worship and events at the Cathedral. Look for your nametag near the parking lot entrance. If there is not one with your name on it yet, please use a temporary nametag and sign up on the sheet provided; one will be made for you the following week.

The next Food Pantry distribution date is – Saturday, June 27th (2nd & 4th Saturdays this month) from 9-11:00 am. Each Thursday, we distribute hot dinners “to go” from 4:15–5:30pm at the Overbrook Avenue entrance as a satellite location for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
