Celebrating Dean René and Andrea John – On Saturday, February 14th, the Cathedral will host a service of Evensong and Prayers (3:00pm), followed by a reception in celebration of Dean John’s ministry, sponsored by the Diocese of New Jersey and open to all members and friends of the Cathedral and the diocese. On Sunday, February 15th, the 10:00am service will be followed by a festive coffee hour and farewell celebration for the Dean and his family. We are grateful for these opportunities to give thanks for Dean René and Andrea John, and for their faithful ministry and witness at Trinity Cathedral and in our diocese. Their last Sunday with us will be February 22nd.

If you would like to bring a dish to share as we celebrate Rene & Andrea on February 15th, you are welcome to contribute! Feel free to bring your favorite (some additional things we can use are iced tea, water, soda and juice, and desserts.) If you would like some help with ideas, please speak with Margaret Nartey.

Please add you name and wishes to the card for René & Andrea – it will be available in Synod Hall after Mass.

Join us on Thursday, February 26 at 5:00 pm for the Stations of the Cross in All Saints’ Chapel. We have not walked the stations of the cross together, in person, since prior to the pandemic. We would love to see you there!

There will be no 8:30 am Mass on Sunday, February 15th, as we have Dean John’s celebration together!

Year-end pledge statements have been mailed for you use when filing tax returns. If you have a mailbox here at the Cathedral office, your statement is in your box – please come visit.

If you would like to advertise a volunteer opportunity, you can create your own flyer or use the form on the literature table in the main hallway.

Join us on Sunday, February 22 at 3:00 pm for a return performance by the fabulous Keith Spencer! – From the mournful call of the Negro spiritual to the cry of protest and purpose signifying the African-American experience from the mid-1950s to late 1960s, We Shall Not Be Moved presents the music that captured the essence and call of the Civil Rights Movement. This inspiring concert experience presents popular songs and poignant readings from leaders, activists, and spokespersons of the time associated with the Civil Rights cause calling to mind the struggle and promise of what was to come. You’ll hear songs such as “Oh, Freedom!”, “People Get Ready”, “Go Down, Moses”, “The Times They Are A-Changin’”, “Lift Every Voice And Sing”, “A Change Is Gonna Come”, and many celebrated others. Performances from this series have received rave reviews from audiences of every color and demographic. See the flyer in your bulletin for more details.
