Congratulations, graduates! – Congratulations to Tripuella Dennis Roberts on her two daughters’ graduation: Kimmah Dennis Roberts (Master of Arts, Art Institute of Chicago) and Deamah Dennis Roberts (BSc in Biology, Bloomfield College, Montclair University). Congratulations to Andrea & René John on their daughter’s graduation: Gemelle John Bedu (M.S.Ed Urban Education, University of Pennsylvania.)

Bless their lives from this day on with goodness and success – to use their gifts wisely and in service to others. Empower them to walk into the future with faith, hope, and great love guided by your light so that they may use their talents to, in the words of St. Ignatius Loyola, “Go forth and set the world on fire.”

Pentecost readers needed – Can you read in a language other than English? Next Sunday is Pentecost, when our Lectors (as many as possible!) read our first lesson in both English and alternate languages at the same time. Please contact Patrice in the office if you would like to participate, and the reading will be provided to you.

Greeters provide the first welcoming smile to members and visitors coming to Trinity Cathedral on Sunday morning. In fulfilling our mission as a home for all who enter, our greeter team affirms people’s decision to join us, identifies those who may need support, and ensures our worship service  proceeds with dignity, safety and joy. What is expected of a greeter?

  • Arrive 20 minutes before the start of service.
  • Welcome everyone as they enter.
  • Provide information and directions to those who need them.
  • Inform the ushers about those who may need special support.
  • Watch for, and report, any concerning behavior to the ushers.

Please consider joining our greeter team! If you are interested in becoming a greeter, please speak with our Junior Warden, Ms. Margaret Nartey or sign up on the table right outside Synod Hall.

Tickets now available for our Fashion Show FUNdraiser – Join us on June 8th for just $20 + an appetizer or dessert to share ($10 for under 18.) Tickets include food, drinks and fun! See Margaret Nartey for tickets, and don’t forget to sign up to model, on the sheet on the table outside Synod Hall.

Themed baskets needed – To help reach our fundraising goal, we are planning a basket raffle to be held at our Fashion Show FUNdraiser. Can you donate a themed gift basket? Here are some theme ideas: Movie Night, Game Night, Baby Basket, Bathroom Basket, Hair and Nails, Car Wash, Basket of Cheer (wine or spirits), Beach/Pool, Mexican or Italian Specialties, Relaxation Day, Lottery Tree, and Father’s Day! Gift cards are welcome, and can be used as the centerpiece of each basket. Thanks to those who have already contributed Baskets: dog care, kids’ “quiet time” play, and hiking/walking gear.
