It’s that time of year again… to start thinking about FOOD! – Now is the time to begin bringing in donations of Thanksgiving foods – boxed, bagged and canned – for us to distribute with our Thanksgiving turkeys in November. Think stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies, etc. Please bring your donation into Synod Hall and leave them on the frontal case near the entrance.

Confirmation Preparation Classes – This year our biweekly Sunday sessions will provide participants with a solid foundation in the life, ministry, and traditions of the Episcopal Church and, most importantly, what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ. Our study guide, We Believe, by Fr. Angelo Wildgoose with a foreword by The Rt. Rev. William “Chip” Stokes, reminds us that our faith should be rooted in Scripture and tradition, and must also be relevant to how we live, serve, and grow today.  Together we will reflect on who we are as Christians, what we believe as members of the Episcopal Church, and how we can walk with confidence, grace, and joy as followers of Christ. Each session will offer opportunities for honest conversation, questions, and shared discovery. Please find the confirmation class schedule on the bulletin board in the main hallway; classes will be held right after the 10:00AM Mass, in the Guild Room.

Have you checked out our new volunteer bulletin board? It’s just inside the parking lot doors. Here you will find posted opportunities to volunteer at the Cathedral, with our partner organizations, and in the community. Projects big and small will be posted here. If you would like to advertise a volunteer opportunity, you can create your own flyer or use the form on the literature table in the main hallway.

The next Food Pantry distribution date is – Saturday, November 8th (2nd & 4th Saturdays this month) from 9-11:00 am. Each Thursday, we distribute hot dinners “to go” from 4:15–5:30pm at the Overbrook Avenue entrance as a satellite location for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
