Sunday Coffee Hour!
Every Sunday following the 10AM service in Synod Hall
Why do we have Coffee Hour?
Each Sunday we leave the Eucharist with these words:
“Go in Peace to love and serve the Lord!’
A big ask!
So what does this have to do with Coffee Hour?
Along with the weekly Holy Eucharist, Coffee Hour is a place of comfort where we can take the time to increase love for each other as a church community, and find the nourishment – for the body and soul – to carry that love out in to the world. It is one of the ways we refill the reservoir that often becomes depleted during the week. It is where we greet each other and build relationships, share our delights and our sadness and offer support, and yes, have fun! It is also where we welcome new people and get to know them beyond just a handshake. The Sunday Eucharist and Coffee Hour are both integral parts of the Sunday morning experience, one follows seamlessly after the other and complement each other.
You are invited to make coffee hour part of your Sunday refreshment!
Coffee Hour this Sunday , September 14,
honors our Trinity Choir members

The next Food Pantry distribution date is – Saturday, September 27th (2nd & 4th Saturdays this month) from 9-11:00 am. Each Thursday, we distribute hot dinners “to go” from 4:15–5:30pm at the Overbrook Avenue entrance as a satellite location for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
Vestry Member Raising Funds for UrbanPromise – Please support Althia Muse and her family as they participate in the Paddle for Promise Fundraiser. This is a fundraising event to support the UrbanPromise TrentonTrekkers program. The TrentonTrekkers program is an experiential learning program. Through travel to places beyond students’ everyday lives and a focus on cross-cultural experiences, historical perspectives, environmental awareness, and community service, students are motivated to learn from their TrentonTrekkers journeys and carry that motivation into their studies. The funds raised will allow us to offer new and expanded experiences for UrbanPromise Trenton youth. You can scan the QR code to make a donation, or visit the website link listed.
Please support our Golf Outing! – YOU can help make our October 13th golf outing a smashing success! We will need unique and fun prizes for the raffle and auction at the dinner reception following the outing. NOW is the time to speak with family, friends, and businesses you may know to generate support. Restaurant gift cards, tickets to shows and sporting events, overnight stays and gift baskets/baskets of cheer are all great prize ideas! Speak with Patrice in the office if you would like more information; there are golf outing brochures on the table in the main hallway.
Tours of Trinity Cathedral Available – Join a scheduled tour of Trinity Cathedral conducted by Bernard McMullan, informal Cathedral historian and former chair of the Cathedral’s Property, Maintenance and Improvement Commission. Two tour dates are scheduled:
- Sunday, September 28 at 5PM
- Sunday, October 26 at 4PM
The 90-minute tour of the four different churches in the Cathedral complex will include a review of the history, architecture, stained glass, fabrics, and other art of Trinity as well telling some of the “stories” of this 133 year-old congregation. The event requires extensive walking and traversing of several flights of stairs.
The tour concludes with hors d’oeuvres, sweets, wine and conversation in Synod Hall.
Just a few slots are available on each of the days. A donation to Trinity Cathedral of $25 per person is requested. Sign up on the poster in the main hallway outside the Cathedral offices.
Group tours of the Cathedral can be arranged through Patrice D’Angelo (PatriceAtTrinity@aol.com) or Bernard McMullan (rivervue1622@gmail.com).
