Food Pantry Thanksgiving – The Food Pantry will be hosting its usual Turkey Day distribution this year. The bags of sides and fixin’s will be distributed on November 23rd. If you would like to contribute the side dishes to complete a Thanksgiving dinner, we especially need the following: stuffing, boxed potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, cake/pie makings, cornbread mix, etc. (we DO receive lots of canned vegetables, so we won’t need). Items can be brought to the Cathedral anytime before November 21st, when we fill the bags. Financial contributions are always welcome. Thank you for sharing!
CAST Presents: Salvo Music: Spanish, Classical and World Guitar – TODAY at 3:00PM. CAST is excited to host “Salvo Music: Spanish, Classical and World Guitar.” Salvo is a Spanish guitarist and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. He plays a fusion of Flamenco, Latin, Classical and World music. It promises to be an exciting afternoon of music! Salvo’s avowed goal is to “connect and help people with my music”. Tickets for this performance are $25; please see Bobbie Powell or a member of the CAST Committee.
ANGEL TREE – The Cathedral is gearing up for its twelfth year as a Prison Fellowship Angel Tree® church. It is expected that gift request tags will be available for selection in Synod Hall on Sunday, November 24th.
As usual, donations of wrapping paper, ribbons/bows, and large gift bags are welcomed. We will also need volunteers to wrap gifts and/or to greet the children and their caregivers in Synod Hall on the day gifts are distributed. Exact dates for these activities will be announced and placed in the bulletin in early December.
Join us in this ministry that transforms lives and brings joy to prisoners and their families at Christmas time! For information or to volunteer, contact Judith Miller at 609-586-0915 or judithm2@verizon.net; or see her after the 10:00 service in the coming weeks.
If you would like to contribute to the collection for our sisters & brothers affected by the recent hurricanes, please place your donation in the offering plate. Checks can be made payable to Trinity Cathedral; please write “Hurricane Relief” on the memo line.
The Altar Guild Shop will be open the 1st & 3rd Sundays after both services, starting in November; during Advent – open every Sunday.
The next Food Pantry distribution date is – Saturday, November 23rd (2nd & 4th Saturdays this month) from 9-11:00 am. Each Thursday, we distribute hot dinners “to go” from 4:15–5:30pm at the Overbrook Avenue entrance as a satellite location for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
