Donations will be accepted at the concert to help with the expenses of the trip.
We are excited to celebrate our 20th Anniversary Bishop George E. Councell Memorial Golf Outing on October 14th! As we come into the busiest months of preparation, we need your help. Do you golf, or play pickleball? If you or someone you know is interested, we would love to have your participation. The new pickleball portion of our event received rave reviews last year!
We were blessed with many wonderful themed gift baskets for our Fashion Show fundraiser this June. It was so nice, we’re asking twice! Each year at the golf outing, we have a prize raffle that would greatly benefit from similar basket donations. Basket ideas include: movie night, baby, hair and nails, car wash, basket of cheer (spirits), Mexican or Italian specialties, relaxation day, lottery tree, bath ‘n body, garden treasures, pet care, toys/games. Gift cards are also welcome, in any amount! If you would like to discuss ideas, please speak with Patrice in the office.
From August-April, Althia Muse will be offering bi-weekly confirmation classes for anyone seeking confirmation by our bishop on Holy Saturday (April 19, 2025.) Ideally, we will meet alternating Thursdays and some Sundays using both in-person and virtual platforms. Participants will also learn about and support various ministries at the Cathedral. Anyone interested should contact Althia at (609) 802-2303.
A walker has been given to the Cathedral, to be donated to anyone who is in need of such a device. If you have a need for a walker, please speak with Willie Coleman, Usher.
At our meeting on June 10, the Vestry, in support of Episcopal Community Services (ECS), voted to be a sustaining member of ECS for 2024. The contribution for a sustaining member is $3,000. Please feel free to contribute this effort as you are able. (Checks can be made payable to Trinity Cathedral, with “ECS” on the memo line, and put in the collection plate or sent to the office.)
“A Taste of Joy – Recipes of Trinity Cathedral” cookbooks are still available – Proceeds from the sale of the books are going to provide fresh produce to our Food Pantry. Get yours at the Cathedral Altar Guild Shop for just $10 or contact Lucy Adams at trinitycathedralags@gmail.com.
We have re-started our Lay Eucharistic Ministry to Hamilton Grove Care & Rehabilitation Center – Please speak to Larry Spears or Dean John if you are interested in serving this community.
The next Food Pantry distribution date is – Saturday, August 24th (2nd & 4th Saturdays this month) from 9-11:00 am.
Each Thursday, we distribute hot dinners “to go” from 4:15–5:30pm at the Overbrook Avenue entrance as a satellite location for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
