About The Outing

​The Bishop George E Councell Golf Outing raises funds for Trinity Cathedral’s ministries and fosters fellowship among member churches of the Diocese of New Jersey. Since its founding, the outing has raised nearly $550,000 and brings together representatives from more than 20 congregations from the far reaches of the Diocese.

Held in the bucolic setting of Mercer Oaks Golf Course, attendees compete for a variety of awards and prizes, among them the coveted Bishop’s Cup. Winners gain possession of the stunning silver trophy along with parish bragging rights for a full year.

We hope you’ll join us for an exciting day that promises to appeal to golfers of all ages and skill levels.
