TODAY during Hospitality Hour, we will celebrate Canon Dr. Paul Cooper and his many years of service on the Cathedral Vestry. Paul has recently retired from the Vestry, but is still making a difference in our Cathedral in many ways, including his stellar work with the Absalom Jones Inspirational Choir. Let’s show our thanks and congratulate him on a job well done!

We have a fun Cinco de Mayo-themed basket to raffle, with proceeds going to our Fashion Show FUNdraiser! A $25 gift card to Chili’s, Fiesta-style housewares, snacks, and margaritas included! Tickets are $10 each, get yours after Sunday services. The winner will be announced prior to Cinco de Mayo!

Announcing our Fashion Show Booster Book – Announce good news! Share what you’re thankful for! Honor your loved ones and the mother figures in your life! The Booster Book will be printed and shared with everyone at the May 9th Fashion Show. (We can also send you an electronic copy, if you’d like!) For a $25 donation, you receive a full page for your message; a half page is $15.  Please E-mail your booster information to Patrice D’Angelo in the Cathedral office: patriceattrinity@aol.com or call to give us your info.: (609) 392-3805 ext. 100. You can give your donations to Margaret Nartey, or place them in the offering plate, clearly marked “Booster Book”. Thank you for your support!

Join us for our 2026 Fashion Show FUNdraiser! This year our event will be held on Saturday, May 9th – Mother’s Day weekend. We will be celebrating our mothers, grandmothers, and all who “mother” us! Tickets are $30 for adults, and $12 for children 12 and older (available NOW on Sundays or by calling the office!) All are encouraged to model: please sign up on the clipboard on the table outside Synod Hall. If modeling is not your “style”, bring your moms, grandmothers, or the special ladies in your life, to enjoy the show! Add your name to the list for our “80’s Ladies Club” for mother-figures who are 80+ (who will receive special recognition.) Questions? Speak with Margaret Nartey.

Join us for the dedication of our historic embroidered kneeler display – Decades ago, a group of women joined together to embroider nine altar kneelers for the main sanctuary of Trinity Cathedral. The exquisite cushions met the needs of countless parishioners, diocesan visitors and others before decades of use began to take their toll on the fabric. The cushions were retired and replaced by a new set of kneelers a few years ago. Instead of discarding the original kneelers, Trinity Cathedral, with your help, chose to explore ways to preserve these incredible works of art in a display keeping them safe and available for future generations. After almost two years of effort, we are pleased to announce a formal dedication of the newly installed Cathedral Altar Rail Cushion display within the Cathedral. We would be delighted to have you join us for this dedication at Trinity Cathedral on Sunday, April 26 at 3:00PM. After a brief dedication and discussion of the project, we will have a reception in Synod Hall. Please contact Parish Administrator, Patrice D’Angelo, to let us know if you will be able to join us: (609) 392-3805 (ext. 100) or PatriceAtTrinity@AOL.com.

On Sunday, May 3rd we will host a welcoming reception for the Rev. Cn. Terence Lee and his family on their first Sunday with us, during hospitality hour. Please join us!

The Altar Guild Shop will be open on Sunday, April 18th.

We are looking for one new member for the Cathedral Vestry – The Vestry is the legal governing body of the Cathedral, the “board of directors.”  With the Dean as its leader, it sets policy and goals and oversees the finances and property. But it has another equally important role: providing leadership to implement the ministries that serve the parish and the community.

A person is eligible to serve if they are a baptized member of the Episcopal Church who has been a member of our parish in good standing for at least a year, is at least 16 years old, makes a regular financial contribution to the parish, and worships regularly with us.

A Vestry term usually runs for three years. However, since this Vestry position will fill an unexpired term, the person will serve until the January 2027 annual meeting. (A great opportunity to “get your feet wet” and experience Vestry membership for a limited time!) The Vestry meets once every month except July and August. Since every vestry member’s voice matters, a member should have no more than 3 unexcused absences from regular meetings in a year.

A good candidate for Vestry is someone who is involved in some parish ministry, and preferably (but not necessarily) has shown some leadership ability. They keep informed about our parish, and are willing contribute to working out solutions to issues that arise, work respectfully with other members, and participate in discerning the parish’s vision and encouraging its ministries. Is this you or someone you know? Please call the Cathedral office, or speak with Gil Williams or Margaret Nartey.

The next Food Pantry distribution date is – Saturday, April 25th (2nd & 4th Saturdays this month) from 9-11:00 am. Each Thursday, we distribute hot dinners “to go” from 4:15–5:30pm at the Overbrook Avenue entrance as a satellite location for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
