So many thanks to all who supported the 22nd Annual Bishop George E. Councell Memorial Golf Outing! The weather cleared up for us just in time, we had a good number of foursomes, and the dinner reception was well-attended. And what a great time we had at the reception, featuring live music and a lovely selection of prizes. Congratulations all around to our hard-working Golf Outing Committee and La’Tonya Johnson, Chair!
Don’t forget to purchase your tickets for our annual African Festival! See Gaw Jones on Sundays or call the Cathedral office (you’ll find more information on the flyer in your bulletin.)
We are back to our regular hospitality hour – If you would like to sign up to bring an item to share, Joyce Gibbs-Spears will have a sign-up sheet in the Synod Hall kitchen during hospitality hour. You don’t need to bring something every week, even once per month would be welcomed. You can also sign up to help with set-up & clean-up. Each week, we will print a reminder list the same way we do with our altar servers.
“Hospitality bringers” for October 25, 2026: AnnMarie Paisley: 1 quart of ½ & ½; Carolyn Ford: fruit; Danny Thomas: granola bars. We have several slots open for the fourth Sunday of the month – please sign up!
This week we will bag food for the Food Pantry – join us Thursday, October 22nd at 4:45 pm.
One of our neighbors that has mobility issues needs a ride to church. She lives at the Luther Towers on West State Street, so close to the Cathedral. If you think you can help out (it doesn’t need to be every week) please call Patrice in the office.
Did you know that we host weekly Rosary Devotions? Our group meets via Zoom on Thursdays at 8:00 pm. You can also join via phone if you do not use Zoom. If you would like more information, and to receive a printed devotional to follow along, please speak with Cn. Paul Cooper or Erica Warner.
To help make everyone feel welcome at the Cathedral, we ask that everyone wear their nametags for worship and events at the Cathedral. Look for your nametag near the parking lot entrance. If there is not one with your name on it yet, please use a temporary nametag and sign up on the sheet provided; one will be made for you the following week.
The next Food Pantry distribution date is – Saturday, October 24th (2nd & 4th Saturdays this month) from 9-11:00 am. Each Thursday, we distribute hot dinners “to go” from 4:15–5:30pm at the Overbrook Avenue entrance as a satellite location for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
