We’re going BACK to the future! – Homecoming Sunday is NEXT SUNDAY. We will return to our fall worship schedule: 8:00 am Rite I in all Saints’ Chapel (EVERY Sunday), and 10:30 am Rite II in the Cathedral. You may recall that these were our regular worship times for decades, prior to the pandemic. Please bring a potluck dish to share as we enjoy a meal together after the 10:30 am Mass. There is a sign-up sheet on the bulletin board in the main hallway for you to note what you would like to bring.

This week we will bag food for the Food Pantry; join us on Thursday, September 10th at 4:45 pm.

Did you know we have a Grief Support Group at Trinity? The next meeting will be Saturday, September 12th from 10:00 am – noon. All are welcome!

Today is the first Sunday of the month: our loose plate offering is directed toward the Dean’s Discretionary Fund, which is used to help those in need in our parish and the wider community. Please consider adding something to the plate for this worthwhile cause.

A funeral and repast for longtime Trinity parishioner, Comfort Sparks will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 12:00 pm. Please join us. If you are a member of the choir and would like to come out and sing, the family would welcome the support (no anthems to rehearse, hymns only. Thank you!)

Our Regular hospitality hour will start up again on September 20th – We are trying to formalize a regular schedule where folks bring things on certain Sundays, and we print a reminder in the service bulletin the week prior. If you would like to sign up to bring an item, please take a look at the list posted on the bulletin board across from Synod Hall. You don’t need to bring something every week, even once per month would be welcomed. You can also sign up to help with set-up & clean-up.

Please support our Golf Outing! – YOU can help make our October 12th golf outing a smashing success! We are asking for our entire congregation to support this, our largest annual fundraiser, in some way. Of course, we need golfers! But if golfing is not your thing, you can sponsor the event, purchase an ad in our program book, or a ticket for the dinner reception. We also need unique and fun prizes for the raffle and auction following the outing. NOW is the time to speak with family, friends, and businesses you may know to generate support. Restaurant gift cards, tickets to shows and sporting events, overnight stays and gift baskets/baskets of cheer are all great prize ideas! Our golf outing committee is busy recruiting golfers and handling the details of this important annual fundraiser, but there are only so many volunteers on the committee; we can use the help of our parishioners to “hit it out of the park!” Speak with Patrice in the office if you would like more information on how to “make the ask”; there are golf outing brochures on the table in the main hallway.

We would like to gather some parishioners to attend the annual ECS-NJ Gala in October (please see the flyer in your bulletin for more information.) Tickets are $175 each, of which $110 is tax deductible. Payment can be made to the Cathedral in two payments if that is helpful; however, we need your RSVP by Homecoming Sunday (9/13). If you would like to attend, please speak with Patrice D’Angelo in the office, or Acting Dean Lee.

One of our neighbors that has mobility issues needs a ride to church. She lives at the Luther Towers on West State Street, so close to the Cathedral. If you think you can help out (it doesn’t need to be every week) please call Patrice in the office.

Did you know that we host weekly Rosary Devotions? Our group meets via Zoom on Thursdays at 8:00 pm. You can also join via phone if you do not use Zoom. If you would like more information, and to receive a printed devotional to follow along, please speak with Cn. Paul Cooper or Erica Warner.

The Cathedral office is currently on summer hours: Mon. – Thurs., 9:00 am – 4:00 pm and Fri., 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. (back to regular hours on September 14th)

We will be issuing a new Parish Directory in the Fall – Sometime over the summer, please fill out the “Member Profile Form” found on our literature tables to update your information, and drop it in the collection plate. You can also bring or mail it to Patrice in the office or scan and E-mail it to patriceattrinity@aol.com. Keeping our contact information up-to-date is vital to our parish communications – thank you for your assistance!

To help make everyone feel welcome at the Cathedral, we ask that everyone wear their nametags for worship and events at the Cathedral. Look for your nametag near the parking lot entrance. If there is not one with your name on it yet, please use a temporary nametag and sign up on the sheet provided; one will be made for you the following week.

The next Food Pantry distribution date is – Saturday, September 12th (2nd & 4th Saturdays this month) from 9-11:00 am. Each Thursday, we distribute hot dinners “to go” from 4:15–5:30pm at the Overbrook Avenue entrance as a satellite location for the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.
